This restaurant is one of the best places to watch the sunset so grab a drink and head over to the Adirondack chairs overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Ernestine's Crab Wagon
Located immediately next to the Old Daufuskie Crab Company, the Crab Wagon offers breakfast and Bloody Marys on Saturdays and Sundays during Spring and Summer months. Opens at 8:00 am and closes around noon.
The Melrose Beach Club
At the end of the beautiful Avenue of Oaks the Beach Club features a pleasant dining room, bar with TVs and casual seating, and outside tables. Situated by the Melrose beach with a view of Hilton Head, this recently reopened restaurant offers a great chef and a laid back but upscale dining experience. Dinner reservations recommended.
Locals think this is the best coffee shop in the world! Great coffee, tea, and chocolate drinks offered in the old lunchroom of the historic Mary Fields School. Often homemade cookies and muffins are available. Proprietors Pam and Brian Cobb are genuinely interested in their visitors, and will be good friends by the time you depart.
