CHRISTMAS PARADE

The 2021 Daufuskie Christmas parade kicks off at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 11 at the entrance into Melrose. The parade will proceed down Haig Point dock and end at the county dock. Dress up your golf cart or other vehicle and join the parade...or just come to watch? Awards for the most creative, the most humorous, and the most beautiful entry will be given at the end. Hot dogs and brats are being donated by Tour Daufuskie.

MARKET FRESH

Wesley Grant will be here on Saturday, January 5th, with fresh seafood, shrimp and produce. Wesley sets up at 10:00 am, and closes around 2:00 pm. Wesley's stand is on Haig Point Road near the intersection of Church Road. Don't miss out!

OYSTER ROAST

On Friday, January 4, there will be an oyster roast at D'Fuskies, located at 2 Haig Point Road, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. Admission ia $15 per person, and the proceeds go to support the Daufuskie Island Elementary School.

1) Daufuskie Rental Group makes a good faith effort to describe island amenities, including restaurants and pools. However, please note that we are not responsible for the availability of amenities that we do not operate and that are beyond our control. Please contact the vendors directly for rates, days and hours of operation.  

 

 

2) Your rental agreement contract's cancellation policy states that we are not responsible for events that are beyond our control, such as hurricanes. We strongly encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance, and especially recommend "cancel for any reason" policies. (These must be purchased shortly after your reservation is made.)   

 

 

3) Please note that because the Melrose Resort is in transition, our Melrose guests may notice a certain level of deterioration in the resort-owned buildings but will also see that renovation efforts are now underway. Our vacation cottages are in well-maintained areas and continue to be extremely popular.

4) Restaurant days and hours of operation vary seasonally and by business. We highly encourage all renters contact the business directly for operational times during their stay dates.
